I was named (press release from Arne Duncan) the male U.S. Presidential Scholar from my state, as announced by the U.S. Department of Education and the Obama White House. Cybele Greenberg was named the female Presidential Scholar. Together, we represented Rhode Island at the recognition events in Washington D.C. We were selected from this initial pool of fantastic candidates.

I was a finalist and award winner at the 2011 Intel ISEF held in Los Angeles, announced by the Intel Foundation and the Society for Science & the Public (SSP).

I was selected for the All-State Team in the Providence Journal, among varsity soccer players state-wide.

I ski raced in Aspen, Colorado as part of the NASTAR ski racing program at Aspen Mountain.
